S1 L67 gaskets are the same as the L27. I'm assuming she'* 91-94? Can you tell us what year?

Process is the same from there.

For LIM gaskets, you will need at the least:

LIM gaskets (duh)
Supercharger to LIM gasket and o-rings
loctite (for keeping the intake manifold bolts torqued in place)

I would chase the bolt holes with a tap to clean out the old loctite so you could get good torque readings when tightening down. Optional things to do while you are in the neighborhood are new T-stat and housing gaskets, new injector o-rings, and new valve cover gaskets (much easier to get to the rear bank with the topend off of the motor).

And keep in mind there are a few hidden bolts in that intake manifold, and are completely covered up if there is any gunk in the intake manifold crevices. One bolt is right by the thermostat housing, and the other is directly across from it, at the rear bank. It is hidden by a temperature sender, which MUST be removed to get to this bolt.

thank you for the info...so taking the sc off is basicly like taking the UIM off on a NA... the main thing i was worried about was the SC but it sounds to me like there'* gonna be no problem with that

It'* fairly straightforward. Is dex still in the cooling system or was it changed to the green stuff? I don't think it really matters at this point in time...those gaskets at that age will need changing regardless.

Too bad us S1'* don't have the improved gasket design the S2s have.

There are no 'hidden' bolts on the Series 1 L67'* like there are on the L36. I also strongly encourage you to get a fuel injector o-ring kit. They'll be half-baked when they come out.

Overall, you'll find the Series 1 L67 slightly easier and simpler to tear down and put together than an L27 or L36.
