Default is this normal?

I noticed today, I had been driving my car for about 30 minutes in town driving. I cut the car off and sat in it for a few minutes. I listened very closely, and heard what sounded like when a pot boils over, a gurgling noise almost. I popped the hood, and the coolant looked a little low, but otherwise everything was perfect. No fluids anywhere or anything.

When the temp spikes.. the overflow is usually filled with more coolant.

Wait, GA... you know that means a coolant leak right? You've got low coolant, That'* why you hear it boiling. That'* totally normal for it to boil when you turn the car off.

Just making sure you realize, that'* an indication you have low coolant.
