Well I checked it, and It'* hard to tell the condition of the fluid since I have never seen or smelled the fluid before.

It was reddish, and smelled like it could possibly be burnt a little, but then again its hard to tell for sure since I don't know what it smells like to begin with.

It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to go get it changed, how much does that normally cost on avg?

You can do it yourself (about 30% of it) by dropping the pan and doing the filter for around 40 bucks.

Or you can get a professional flush for around 80-90, but that won't get the filter.
