Dude, the reality is you're going to have a tough time beating a lighter car that has a V-8 and a manual transmission with your little 6 and auto tranny.

Uh... dude, the Tuarus SHO'* (the good ones) had 3.0L V6'* made by Yamaha that when you change the exhaust make 300hp, they detuned it by restricting the exhaust, damn Japanese. The V8 ones suck.

We should have a SHO FAQ :P
SHOs either have a 220hp/200ft/lb 3.0L V6 with a stick, or a 220hp/215ft/lb 3.2L V6 with an auto. The newer "jellybean" ones had a 235hp 3.4L V8 with an auto.
The 5spd 3.0L ran from '89-'95. The auto 3.2L ran from '93-'95. The auto 3.4L ran from '96-'99.
I don't mean to spoil your fun, but my friend has a '95 SHO, and it would be a fair match for a newer 240hp SSEi. It loves to rev, once it gets going its quite a quick car. It beats mine handily.

Well, I'm mistaken. Thanks for the corrections. I've never been much of a Ford fan, I was thinking the SHO'* were all V8'* and most equipped with manuals, I didn't realize the early ones were 6'*. I remember reading that the first engines were made by some Japanese boat motor company.

Quit bullshiting and take it from one who knows
Yes, the SHO is a nice car (I can say that because it has a Yamaha engine and not a Ford) but unless it is a pre 93 or it has some moding done to it MOST (SEE I SAID MOST NOT ALL) of our bonnevilles will take them. And to the guy who seems to think that the V8 SHO'* are hard to beat I laugh, HA HA HA, the V8 SHO is the slowest yet!!!!
