Backing up the based opinion here, MAKE them redo it. THEY screwed up. Don't just settle for less, this is NOT right. Its not a matter of the difference you'll encounter in power, mileage, etc, its WRONG for them to do that, and wrong for you to let them get away with it.

Go back, get a loaner (demand it), and have it redone. don't wait too long.

They already had to change it twice because the first tranny that was sent to me was also the wrong ratio and they were pretty unhappy about that but they didnt charge me extra. And if i dont notice a difference in the performance of the transmission then its not a big deal to me, the transmission runs absolutely perfect its the rest of the car that im unsatisfied with. And i know that the tranny can effect the performance of the whole car but other people who drive my car think its pretty fast so maybe its just me.I would be a lot more satisfied with an SSEI.

I don't even want to know what fuel mileage is doing. That transmission is going to COST you. Every day you drive it.

If I understand this thread correctly, the wrong gearing tranny was installed, but then the OP got a dealership to reprog the PCM for that tranny; is that right?

You may still be not quite right with that in the long run, because there are alot of possible combos of gearing/stall involved here.

We still need to know what gearing your original tranny was (RPO code sticker), what gearing the new tranny is (tranny tag info), and exactly what make/model/year programming was put in by the dealer (ask them what OSID was used, and whether they put in the whole PCM program or just the tranny parts...and if just the tranny parts, which tables)

We really are just trying to help, here

My fuel mileage is great ive never had a problem with it.And the dealership programed the whole computer to the le sabre, i wasnt even guaranteed that all my accessories would work but they all work fine.I remember them telling me that its essentially a pontiac that thinks its a buick.
