Called my mechanic buddy... Perfect explaination is fuel filter... Newer style cars(1992 isnt new, but a trofeo pretty much the same as cars sold today) With port fuel injection the fuel pump is pushing fuel consantly, and going around a corner the fuel is sloshing around creating a slight hesitation (NO PUMP ACTION) so the fuel is not beening PUSHED through the crap in the filter causing no fuel. When theres no fuel theres no go. As soon as the car has settled down it fires right back up because fuel pressure is back up. So i'll try that, and if not we have to do more trouble shooting.

filter changed.
Now on start up I'm getting rough idle (evens out with gas pedel, or 30seconds of running)
This is weird.. didnt do this before.. I'm checking for leaks to see if the system is depressurizing itself, but doesnt appear to be :? ... should I check fuel pressure? I'm thinking weak pump... but theres still a relay/strainer/regulator to work with.

Ignition/fuel problem (hard start/stalls/rough idle)
I'm having the same problems. I took apart my fuel pressure regulator and it was almost full of fine silt-like particles. It'* easy to do: relieve the pressure from the fuel system, disconnect vacuum hose, remove snap ring, gently pull apart. You will see a fine mesh screen at the bottom. Carefully remove with small screwdriver. This is where I found all the crap. There is a very small o-ring under the screen also. Too early to tell if I did any good. If not, I'll buy a new one. 50+ dollars. This is my first post, hope it turns out ok.

Interesting, tell me if that fixxed the problem completely.
Today it backfired while I was on my way to the shop and now the exhaust is really LOUD, did my muffler collaps(remember no cat)?
backfiring means only fuel?
The shop put an oncar diagnostic thing in it, and I have to drive the **** out of it till it stalls again, then they can tell me the solution to my problem.

This may seem a little out there, but bill/resident gearheads... I would appreciate some sort of answer tonight.
I did NOT stall out tonight... I drove it around alot... I called the guys, and they told me drive it somemore, theres no way to pinpoint with the analizer unless it stalls.
(doing this in point form)
-I have a huge hole in my muffler (Note the backfire that happend this morning).
-It stall prior to getting the hole in my muffler
-Has not stalled sense (Believe me, I drove the **** out of it for the last 2hours doing as many things as posable to get it to stall)
-No relivent codes
-Power gains across the chart after gaining a huge hole in my muffler.
Could a plugged/collapsed muffer be the cause of stalling/mid-top end power loss? (not a rhettorical question, and would like more then one response, I was already told 'no')
I'm taking some holidays, and I would like to take the car(milage/comfort/speed)... Just hoping to get it fixxed soon.
I will be getting an 80 series muffler tomorrow installed whatever the outcome.
(I will post a diagram of the muffler if it matters where the hole is)
Thanks

A plugged muffler could very well cause a mid/high range power loss. That explains part of it.
The stalling? Almost has to be fuel related. Bad gas? The problem went away, so you may never know.
