Replacement shocks/struts

Replacement shocks/struts
Greetings, long time reader first time poster here. I have a 95 SLE with 110k on the clock. The Bonnie has been rock solid and my intent is to run her as close to 300k as I can get. Based on current annual mileage that should happen sometime in the year 2036.
Here'* the deal. I want to replace shocks/struts all around and so I am wondering about people'* experiences and recommendations (brands, models). Ultimately I would like a tighter feel from the front end than the stock gave. For reference, my previous ride was an Audi Quattro so I am very partial to a firm (but not tooth rattling) ride.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Mark

The struts and shocks on my '92 SSE */c may be different than yours, but I went with KYB for the fronts and Monroe for the rear. I wanted to get KYB for the rear also, but they don't make the rear ones with the air tube on my SSE.
A couple of guys at different shops said that the KYB are much stiffer than the Monroe.
Everyone I asked told me to stay away from Gabriel.

I made the mistake of going with cheapies (twice now :( ) And I am pickled again. The last set, one seal gave away. Replace both, align. (what are the chances of the cheapies going bad again after a year? Yep) The front struts rattle like a mississaugi rattler I think that I may go with Munroe Sensatracs next. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you for the feedback! I trully love my Bonnie and making her a better ride is important to me. To that end, I have always been of the mindset that you get what you pay for. So, I'd rather have less "stuff" in life but have really good "stuff"! Sounds like KYB is the answer. I'll have to research installers in my area (St. Paul, MN) because I don't have the time to deal with this myself.
Thanks again, Mark

Can't sugggest what struts to get but stay away from Gabriel. The Gabriels I had put on the rear of my 98 Regal weren't worth sh#t.One strut was totally gone in less than 5500 miles.Covered with oil and road grit.I went back to where i got them and they replaced them with Monroe sensatrac.Comparable handling(the Gabriels were a little stiffer) but much nicer ride. Not the stiffer ride or handling you're looking for but fine for my buns. The message is stay away from Gabriel.P.*. The replacement struts and alignment didn't cost me a dime and they don't carry Gabriel anymore.Wonder why.

What is the ballpark figure in $$$ for replacing the 4 corners?
Price differences between Monroe and KYB?
Any other options or brands to consider?
Advice on the 'stiffness factor'?
This information may come in handy later in life!
