PS
My PS pump on my 96 used to whine also. I removed some fluid and added some slick 50 power steering formula and now its silent. Just needed lubricating.

So How do you like that Magnasteer? I have heard good and bad about the system..

Personally, I think it rules. It makes another cool option to show off... not bad for a $4000 car.
Actual bragging (more or less): "Oh yeah, it'* got Magnasteer technology. It uses magnets to steer it so it makes it really... um, cool. You'll notice how smooth the ride is, even when I'm making U-turns in a parking lot. It'* the magnets, helping me to not hit these parked cars."

The maganasteer is supposed to be good technology... Some have said bad things others love it... And on the 2000+ I think you can have the dealership go in and change the amount of assist from light to heavy for lots of feel Wish this was so on the 95....
I have actually had to replace the Rack and Pinion in my car due to too much play in the steering... I think the Reman Rack was a buick unit, its wayyyy to light... The old unit had a lot of road feel for all driving situations... I may have to fix that later.... Now thats its been a good while I'm starting to get some of that play back again.... But I have noticed that my strut mount bearings are going bad... I will replace the ball joints while I'm at it too... Might even get the FE2/F41 springs as well...
