Default Radio buttons

I have read all the old posts about fixing the steering wheel radio controls, but I wanted to ask what you guys think before I get started trying to fix them. None of my steering wheel buttons work, they all light up. The horn works. I was wondering if this sounds more like the connection to the buttons then the buttons themselves? From what I can tell, pin 14 of the radio LT Green wire goes to the steering wheel module coil. I am not sure what I should start with. I just changed the radio out for one with a factory cd and the buttons still don't work.

thanks,
