BACK DOOR UNLOCKED BUT HARD TO OPEN QUITE OFTEN AND DIC
All the doors unlock when i turn the key. But when someone tries to get in the back passenger, when they push the button it doesnt push all the way in and doesnt open and most of the time u reach in the back thru the front passenger door and pull the inside handle it will open no problem. Also, both back doors when opened the notification doesnt appear on the driver information or is delayed if it does appear. Help much appreciated. 1991 Bonneville SSE

i can't help you too much with the dic display as i have never had that problem but the door handles sticking i've had on both my back doors. i'm guessing you don't use the back doors on a regular basis.
i would get some lubrication in there fast. i had both of them seize up completely on me and it was a bitch to get them open again. i used wd-40 and unscrewed the inner door panel and pried it open a bit so i could get a good shot on the mechanism and soaked it. i've never had a problem since. however, even if its just a bag of stuff from the local "quiki-mart" i try and and make a point of opening the back door and throwing it in there now so the doors get somewhat regular use.
hope that helps, bill

if lubing it doesnt work, you may need to take of the inner door panels and then look if there is anything holding up the buttons from going in.
the dic might have something to do with the light switch, have you checked to see if the lights come on if you only open one of the back doors? also it could have to do with wiring somewhere or also on the connections on the dic itsellf

It'* probably a sticky door switch that causes the delayed/inconsistent DIC reading. The DIC uses the switch that ISN't on the B-pillar... I am fairly sure it hits the bottom rear of the door.. it'* white and significantly larger than the other sensor. The lights use the bpillar sensor. Just lube it up with some 3in1 oil or something.
As far as the sticky door, everyone is hitting it on the head. The real common problem is the lock return spring rusting completely and if you open the door locked, it'll never open again until you manually unlock it inside the door [pulling door panel or slim jim]. What you have is just sticky mechanisms, you still have time before your latch fails.
