I can never get my SSEi to burn rubber really...it always retards my timing....even after the new chip ...are you holding down the emergency brake during the burn out?

You should read my thread in On the Road and Track....
So, I assume from the thread that you used the parking brake but that the computer, sensing that it is on and you are driving, will pull timing to try and slow you down and save your parking brakes.
Disconnecting the parking brake sensor will fool the computer into thinking that it is not set.
....still don't understand the rear wheel speed sensors though.....

Removing the parking brake sensor stopped the DIC from giving me a park brake set message but that did not stop the timing pull. The last flurry of pcm changes and removing the rear wheel speed sensors enabled me to make my last fastest pass. I am not sure if removing the WSS did it, or the last pcm chagnes Scott made did it.

My guess is that if it WAS the RWSS then maybe the computer deteremeind speed by the VSS in the tranny and realized the rear wheels werent spinning and tried to pull all timing. Again, I wont know for sure if it was the PCM changes or the RWSS removal that did the trick but I will find out on the next track day.
