I'm sorry for your loss. You are very fortunate that you and your mom made it out safely. Cars can be replaced if they have to but human life is precious. Good luck with the search for another car.

Thanks again everyone and to answer your question Big Nick, I got 181, 738 out of her and she would have kept on going if it wasnt for the fire. Just keep her up and running and she'll drive forever, in theory anyway.

I have pics of the damage now. I took em yesterday. I dont know why. But anyway, here they are.

And the "rebound" car.

Comments and suggestions welcomed guys.

Damn, that sucks. But I don't see your alternator starting that. Looks like a fuel rail fire to me.

Excellent off-topic example of the one-piece aluminum intake on some 92'*, as well as a lack of EGR valve and Magnavox coils.

Ok, I dont know what that means, but it doesnt sound good.

Did you see the rebound car?

2001 Buick Regal LS, w/3800 II

Its nice, but I dont wanna buy myself into a whole new set of problems.

Any knowledge of the make and model is appreciated.

Regal looks good. In 2001, they'd already fixed the upper intake probs, and the FPR probs. Should be trouble-free.
