Posts like a Ricer Type-R
You do want SOME gap. It'* critical airflow for the front of the car, particularly if you do a CAI. Looks alot better.
Did you use the gap specs I sent you some time ago?

yeah....but it didn't end up that way...
it was a little low before and a little high after...i dont recall how much
EDIT: actually, those pics were taken when i had a towel stuffed under it...so its a tad bit lower now
