ps... i only had 3 coats of VHT on mine...and they were PITCH BLACK... ?

Okay, got ALOT done. Fixed the ELC on John'* car (first time in John'* memory and ownership that it'* worked), as well as the belt shreddage. Still working on the tails. Wet sanding between coats adds time.

4th set of Bonneville tails I've tinted, and the best quality by far. We've wet-sanded between almost every coat of VHT and clear. An amazing smooth flawless finish. They're going to look gorgeous on the car. We'll shoot before and after pics tomorrow with the car.
