must be a new gen thing, I think it looks better (cover) on the 00-01 SE'* and the SSEi body styles, exception of course would be the 02-04 SE I like the way the front end looks 
now I DO think the pre 00 SSEi body style bonneville looks better with the license plate holder, I know a lot would argue but a license plate cover for the 92-99 SSEi body style would be a must for me
