WCBF Day 2:
#41
It was a good day today.
A short trip after a hearty breakfast took us from Olympia to Corvallis is 2 1/2 hours with a pee stop.
Averaged 26.5 mpg.
It was overcast most of the way and the roads were dry.
No bugs at all on the car. Bonus!
A rock did take out my front license plate plastic cover. :( ...but it'* cheap to replace.
Missed Bill'* place the first time but found it on the return trip after pulling a U turn and shaving a few thou off the tread of my front tires.
When we arrived at Bill'*, John and Bill were under John'* car pulling out the fuel tank. I kicked Bill'* leg, he instantly sprang up and greased my $100. Blue Hawaii shirt with his fuel soaked greasy hands all over my back.......Laura doesn't think the stains will come out......the dirty son of a biatch
He tried to make up for it by giving me a six pack of Coors......a mini six pack with 3 oz cans.
..........when he least expects it....
Travis was dry humping his engine with his Bonne parked inside Bill'* garage. Things were going well until that last bolt. Stripped. Don't ya just hate it when that happens.
A combination of ingenuity and haywire and it should hold up until the worst possible moment.
I think it'll be fine until he get home.
The benefits of his performance mod will become more apparent as the week goes on.
Shadd was pulling the pin striping off his Bonne and was using a sanding block and flat black primer to try and transform Cueball into a suedo Zilla - Black Betty combo.
Tomorrow we take the disc grinder to the aluminum hood to cut the grills.
.....he still has the loudest trumpets of the group.
Rod arrived on his retro bike. Nice wheels even tho there are only two.
The new addition to his already prize winning exhaust did not change the tone but did turn it down in volume slightly for more cabin worthy quietness.
I ended the evening by forgeting to roll up my window as I was leaving the campground and ending up with a cabin full of blue smoke.
