Light detailing, whorage, tails, corners... 56k NONO
Just got the car back from trans shop friday. Original plans were to go all out with claybar and everything, then I woke up at 11 am on accident, and then I realized how nice is was outside to do other things, and also realized the lawn needed mowed, and things just went downhill from there. So instead of going all out I just washed the car with some Rain X car wash w/ wax beads in it. Hadn't tried it before... had an interesting affect though... seemed to work half decently. All of my other stuff, including my tire shine, is at my gfs house lol. After washing it, I dried it (ofcourse) with a towel, and pulled it in the garage. I then sprayed the crap outta it with the Turtle Wax Ice detailing spray. I just used some meguiars quick detailer on the interior and cleaned the windows. They still look a little dirty because my tint needs some serious help lol... I'd imagine it'* pretty old.
This is what came out of an hour of the day:
Diggin' the ice? Not sure that I do... I think I may just go back to Meguiars after this stuff is gone.
If you prefer the foglight look...
Tinted tails, lights on
Tinted tails, lights off
Tinted tails, at an angle. Mmm... nature'* Photoshop is making solar glares
I don't think I'm going to re-clear the tails... they actually look pretty good to me
Mild driving entertainment. Helps keep me from getting speeding tickets, depending on genre of music.
Blurry for some reason... but this is circuit city'* method of strapping down my capacitor. Should have just done it myself, and I'd still have my Exile subs that they blew up and didn't pay for. I really need to fix this... maybe when I get a new cap. The RCAs seen there are the cables they 'weren't informed of', aka forgot to use. Ended up using the POS wires out of the Scoche wiring kit. Need to get around to the fuel filter too, I'd imagine it'* somewhat accessible on a car like this.
Broke all four of the plastic clips that hole this plastic in. I need to make a post in the junkyard wishlist thread and see if I can get extras... it rattles like crazy with subs. Also still has masking tape residue from tinting tails lol.
Z' Sunroof
Left body line
Right body line
Rear seats... didn't vacuum due to laziness lol
Where the 'magic' happens...
My two best driving buddies... hardwired into the radio circuit so they're always with me
After Meguiar'* Wheel Brightener. Careful... that stuff will knock you on your *** if you inhale too much. Also, I'd imagine it could do some pretty serious damage if you let it stay on there long enough.
Engine compartment that the transmission shop made dirty (hand prints on airbox, engine cover)
Lost the stupid rubber thing that goes on this... hopefully it doesn't start vibrating. I didn't even clean engine, but I popped cover off yesterday to reroute a vacuum line into bottle of seafoam.
Is it really that dirty?
Uhhh....
Yeahhh that definitely needs taken care of before winter. Plan on doing it with LIM porting.
Well that'* it for now. Needs a claybaring really bad, as well as a good wax paste application and all that jazz. I have some mechanical stuff that I need to tend to first, though.
