Hoods for 92-99 should be cheap from a junkyard. I'm a big fan of investing a little into a "doner part" rather than cutting my original.

Oh, and I agree with Pat, leave 'em black.

has anyone looked at the lumina eurosports as possible donors?

i am slowly converting the 'sabre into an old skool lead sled, i intend on punching about 300 louvers into the hood for cooling.

something like this.

The lumina vents are too long and would sacrifice too much of the inner structural framework of the hood.

Trust me. i searched for 6 months before getting the vents I did. Both OEM and aftermarket vents.

The GTA vents are the perfect solution for our application, and that location is the perfect place to install them for heat extraction. With the high-speed fan override, I can actually blow leaves out of them.

I was here...(where the heap of crap was dismantled). We didn't cut anything structural. Only thing that might be said is that it was a little forward.. and in reality..it was back over the motor and to the side.
