with no resonator will it sound more raspy? b/c i'm trying to avoid that..i want a low roar ..ya know?

Then I'd go with a HI-flow Cat and keep the res. It may get too burbly/raspy without it. I have my res in and I have no rasp, just a low grumble, especially on a cold start it sounds SOOOOO sweet.
