Syn'* new 2000 Bonneville SSEI
Hi all,
This is my second Bonneville. In the early 2000'* I owned a 98 SSEI and enjoyed it immensely.
This Bonneville has 63k miles and appears to have been pampered since new. I just picked it up today.
Extra features:
Power Glass Sunroof (aka Moonroof)
Chrome Plated 17" Alloy Wheels
Remote 12 Disk CD Changer
Heated Front Seats
OnStar Equipped
Factory Equipped Block Heater
It also comes with both Valet keys in new condition as well as both key fobs and keys. Somehow all keys seem to be in almost new condition.
The vehicle looks like it was kept in pristine condition. Even the bottom rails, etc. in front of the engine are dirt and grime free. Non smoker vehicle too! I bought it from Campbell Nelson VW in Seattle -- they included a 2 year 24k mile warranty that is one step below exclusionary. They gave me a great deal! I would wholeheartedly give the crew there 5 stars out of 5. They were awesome!
(I am looking to buy an Accessory Kit (hose for air pump, etc. in the special black bag) so if you know of someone who wants to sell one let me know!)
*edit* = Contacted the previous owner via this forum and will be getting the Accessory Kit. Thanks~
Glad to be here on the forum and looking forward to learning more about the newer SSEI'*. I will probably eventually do some upgrades, but for now I am very pleased with the interior styling, plethora of doo-dads, and great performance.
Thanks!

Hi All,
Will update soon with the 'after the sale' pictures. The ones I put on are the ad pictures from one of the online sales sites.
They found the mats when they detailed the car. I will have to check and see if they have the SSEI on them. If they are generic ones then I will get some fancy ones someplace eventually. If I remember, they do have the logo though. Will verify today a bit later.
I did find an unused accessory kit on Ebay and so hopefully should get that fairly soon.
You are correct -- there was a kit for sale just a few days ago on the forums. The person selling might even be the previous owner of my car. I'm not sure without corresponding with him, of course, but according to his earlier posts his was sold about the time mine 'changed hands' according to the Carfax. Also, his seemed to have similar miles to what mine has, and he also received some comments on the 'unusual color' of his car. He is also in the Seattle area.
Hopefully he will contact me and I can find out if it is the same one. If he is the prior owner then hopefully he will have the maintenance history of the car. It would be rather nice to learn more about the provenance of the vehicle.
As far as the souping up goes I will hold off for a bit. But, eventually I'd like to do some performance upgrades. I really don't know what sort of HP increases are realistic with these engines while maintaining regular drive-ability. Any thoughts? (I do know that some of the time slips I've seen (12.5 second quarter miles?!?!) makes upgrades very, very tempting.)
For now I am just glad to have a car that should keep me safe and on the road for some time.
Thank you for the very warm welcome, everyone! Glad to be here!
