BTW, I'll let Bo in anyone'* back seat, and if he scratches it anywhere, I'll pay for an entire custom leather interior of your choice. Neither of my cars has ANY sign of a dog whatsoever.

I second that! (Both the graphic content warning and the dog on leather seats comment). 1337ssei'* dad constantly drives around two large Labradors in the back and passenger seat of nearly every car he drives. We bought the 99 SLE from him, and the seats are as good as new after 3-4 years of driving around Labs.
