yep that lightening is real. I'm a couple hours north and we did not get hit as bad but still a lot of strikes.

I got incredibly lucky - we had a heck of a light storm Saturday nite and it had moved over the mountains. Then it started to rain so I parked my tripod under the garage overhang to keep it dry, and pointed the camera toward the mountains. The front of the car just happened to be in the frame because I was too lazy to extend the tripod. I probably took 40-50 pictures before I got any decent ones with bolts in them.

I'll bet, subconsiously, I must have a thing for LittleBird'* sig pic...

I was sending it Hans' way when I took the shot!

In our part of the country, you can see these storms coming hours before they get here! I watched my dog run away from home for 3 days once.
