Hey girl let'* go for a spin
Hop in my hot rod and do it again
You've got a greenhouse effect on me
I know a secret spot
Paradise by the sea

I use the "fogs" for normal night driving, and the "driving lights" for my highbeams.
They are simply the best lights for night driving I've ever used. With the xenon/halogen blubs they are ultra bright and go way beyond any other lights I've used on a car. Also, since they are so low, I've had no complaints from other drivers about the fogs.
The highbeams are a different story... they'll burn out your eyes if you look into them. I know they are kinda ugly, but I like the blackouts over the normal lights, and the Pilots were an excellent replacement. Functionality over style.... but I don't think they look too bad. (Don't ask Torfeo though... )
Holy Fog-Lights Batman!!! Black Magic'* a beautiful car!!
Don't let em give you too much crap about the lights, they look good on the older body styles, besides which, I'd bet they date back to when they were in style, so that kinda makes em a "retro" touch

As for the scanner.... both of my cars have a red LED scanner on the back of their rear view mirrors.... they come on when the alarm is armed.
