I wouldn't be so sure about that. If anything 100hp is an overstatement. If you take his dyno numbers, and add 20whp to that you are at 266.3whp. This puts him at ~333hp. Which is only 93hp over stock. Its probably very close to 100 though. I wouldn't bet money on it being at least 100 though.

Not that 93hp isn't a lot, its just not quite 100. I wish I could find a way to add 93hp to my car!!!

The 3.2 pulley will put me there once it goes on. Going to dyno the headers first, then swap on the pulley.

Actually your math is off a bit. Assuming 25% loss in the drivetrain for a FWD car, if he is getting 266whp. that translates into 355bhp. Since the whp is allegedly 75% of the bhp, you dont add 25% back into it, you add 33%.

I.e. if my car, unmodded is rated at 240bhp, I would have 180whp. Going the other direction, I need to add 33% of 180 to get back to 240.

So, you see Todd, you are actually over 100, so just keep your decal and don't sweat the small stuff.

Actually my math isn't off at all. I am assuming the 20% drivetrain loss that is pretty much the agreed upon loss for the 4T65 trannies. So my math is completely accurate. Assuming 25% tranny loss is just obsurd.

But yes, if you used that amount of power loss it would be over 100hp gained, but that isn't the power loss, so it wouldn't make much sense, would it.

All you do is take the wheel horsepower and divide it by .8 for 20% loss. For 25% loss it would be .75 and so on.

they only real way of getting his horsepower is by useng a dyno. so when u gonna get that beast to a dyno?

This week sometime, I'm betting on 20whp from the headers, about another 20whp from the smaller pulley, and since i fixed my KR with afc 1.1 maybe another 5 to 10 from it so i'm hoping for around 300whp but we will see. 300whp = ~375bhp. As long as im faster than a GTO ill be happy
