Default Something I'm Considering

Is throwing just a single layer of VHT on my headlights, but im wondering if the heat from my headlights will mess it up, I have silverlight headlights which burn super hot and if you touch the glass you will get burnt after they've been on for even just a little bit. I think it will look awesome im just wondering if it and clear coat will stand up to that heat? any ideas?

You will be fine. Mine were tinted for over a year with HIDs which get the lenses really hot and they are still good as new. I didn't use VHT though, mine is a custom mix black/clear coat..but I would think vht would hold up just fine too.

Hmmm never thought of that I forgot cars used to use glass, Mine are plastic as are all newer cars..I dont even think paint would stick very well to glass..so now I'm not so sure it will work for you. I would probably avoid it, as with plastic if you screw up or decide to remove it ypu can simply sand them down, buff them out and re coat them with clear to make them look new again...wouldn't be able to do that with glass

the lights being glass is what made me not tint mine, since i was unsure how the VHT would react.

never tried but what about window tint, its designed to stick to glass, and must be able to handle some heat just feel the window during a hot summer day
