I did the same thing for a while....but Im just giving my .02 that HIDs in a halogen housing is EXTREMELY dangerous to other drivers on the road...personally, they look cool but be careful with that...getting a set of HID projectors and doing a retro THEN putting in your HIDs would be the " right " way to do it!

you mean who cares if i blind other people as long as i can see.?

i have people blinding me all the time driving with their high beams and what ever else.. but the blue hid kit is 10000k or 20000k and does not blind people with a blue light..?

only the 60000k and under white hid lights blind people.. for some reason blue tinted lights do not.,,

couldnt have said it any better...Halogen housings are made for halogen bulbs. They are made to throw the light in every which direction to be bounced off other objects which makes them visible. Using a projector with an HID kit will PROJECT the light where it is needed...Not in everyone elses eyes

And I couldnt disagree with you more! first off HID kits are ILLEGAL...check your local laws...I bet you! and you got your Kelvin rating ALL wrong!!!

4300k The Whitest HiD Kit....( ALSO THE BRIGHTEST )
As you go up in Kelvin you sacrifice brightness for color

6000k White w/ hue of blue

8000k White-ish w/ alot more blue

10,000k Deep blue you start turning purple-ish

12,000k Purple

And even the highest in Kelvin (with most color) is still at least 3 times BRIGHTER than Halogen...just not safe....

Trust me

And go on ebay and look up HID projectors ( such as e46, e55, TSX, TL, AP1, etc...) The list goes on...and doing a retro means cutting a projector into your factory halogen housing...DEFFINATLY NOT something for a rookie to do...

Hope this helped!
