yea... that might be my project tomorrow after work.... can i like heat them up and open them or do i have to dremel them open..... (the corners) i have a similer R/A setup i jsut dont have the filter under the bumper its back under the airdam a little

i think the crosslaces are a lost cause... the laminate is peeling... i thought bout havin the middle painted white........
but i dont know....

When I did mine, I carefully took a hacksay to the back ("pointy") end, and then carefully pried them open with a wide flat tip screwdirver. Removes less plastic than a dremel (and I don't have a dremel, so...). A nice thin bead of 100% silcone gled 'em back together, and a bit thicker bead re-sealed the couple of inches of hacksaawing.

Would look kind of "Trans Am"ish if you can get the paint nice and even.

Oh but just like your welder this is an excuse to get one!!

Anyways zzzzzzeke was able to pretty much pop his open, heat will help, and if you get stuck use a dremel type tool. make sure they are VERY well sealed up though. And i don't have an air filter under the bumper, it'* in the same place yours is, my ram air just runs all the way up to it. Check out page 8 of Http://members.cardomain.com/bonnieboimn
