Daytona International is too strict and the track surface is rough as heck.
Soooo...Now that you guys got the taste for it, How about we shoot for a real road course for next year. Sebring, Homestead, or perhaps Roebling Road in Savannah, GA ? Next to running Road Atlanta, Roebling is my personal favorite. It'* a bit of a hike for the Floridians, but perhaps some GA, AL, SC, NC folks could join us.
Just a though, I'll go with the flow.
And I was also a little shocked how badly the '90 held the track..got really light on it'* feet in the corners. Guess I'll have to do suspension work for next year as well.

I have found a rear spring listed at 1230 Lb load rating a piece with a slightly shorter install heigth just by 1/2 an inch.. But thats better than the 860 Lb load rating I have now( too much float ) ... The Front springs also have a higher load rating and the same install heigth...
It seems that its getting harder and harder to find the 32mm front Sway bar and the 21mm rear sway bar... I currently have a 30 mm on the front and 21mm on the rear... I have seen listings for the front as high as 34mm but have yet to ever see one in person..
I should have looked at which struts your 90 had when I was there... There was a strut/spring change in the 90 model year... The front of my 91 can use the 92-99 springs... But I am confused about the rear as the listing for it is only for 87-91... But the funny part is the listing shows that it will wear the same variable rate springs as my 95 currently has... One would think being that my 91 will wear my 95'* springs that the better 1230 Lb load rated springs would fit the 91 with no issues.. But the back end may be a wee bit light for it...
Either way it was a lot of fun and I wish my 95 SE handled better... I think Aron had the most fun

Don't forget there is also Gainesville, where grassroots motorsports does there buildoff challenge races
For us local boys, don't forget about the Turkey Rod Run in a few weeks...dyno runs aplenty!! I make full plans on going that Friday and/or Saturday, and hopefully will be able to dyno the Jinx
Yup...sure was fun!!

hehe...no wonder my car is quick...someone put a turbo on it while i had my back turned
The track was a lot of fun, thanks for setting it up Mike...tore the Nitto'* up pretty good though. :? To answer the question posed in the vid...I was coming out of the corners at about 90mph and hitting 110-115mph on the straights, everyone else I think was running 15-20mph slower than that.
I've been wanting to run my car at a road track for a while now...we need to make a SEBC event out of it like Curt suggested.

well, heres a weird one... my bonneville trans am van...
several things piled up to make the track outing especialy embarassing for me, including abad icm, near gone tires and a slipping tranny that would put any power down if the wheels were turned. i just started in the back since that waswhere i was gonna end up anyway.
i do have to say, barring blower(turbo?) whine, my van sounded the bast...
