BassplayingCrowe, I know exactly what you are talking about thr Maine winters. I used to fly scheduled air service into Bangor Intl. airport. I remember one winter morning going out to the airport it was so cold that the aircraft had frozed to the ground. It took all day to get it thawed out before we could fly it.

MOS95B, I see your are into computing and gaming. I run FlightSim2002 on both of my systems a Dim8200 and a 4550. Have downloaded all sorts of aircraft to fly but dammed if I can fly a chopper. I crash it everytime I am in hover. A pic of my office.
Yeah, flight sims have gotten way too complicated for me. I think the last one I successfully flew was JetFighter 2, way back in the DOS days. I've tried some of the newer ones, but you just about need to be a licensed pilot to get anywhere in them.
Here'* a site with my old fun....and if you scroll to the bottom and look at the pics, you might see a familiar name.....

Very nice...though I must admit that I am partial to older war planes (a few years ago I saw a visiting B 29 and B 17 at a local airstrip take off up close and personal...I've never felt such power...and the Superfortress is one of the most beautiful planes that was ever built). Why be picky though? They're all great.
this is a cool plane! saw it at one of the airshows i go to(elkhart to be exact) Jet powered bi-plane fast as heck loud too!
