I think you might have to use a dremel to cut the orange piece off. If they are like mine. The red and orange on my lights were one piece. That'* why I covered the orange. But the cleared part you're going for isn't going to match the reverse light (if that'* what you were going for). The reverse lights look like there'* a white piece in there. When you clear that orange piece you'll have the chrome piece behind.

Sorry Wish I could help more, but I'm not sure how your lights are. If I was able to buy that 98 SSEi two summers ago I'd be more help :(

Do you have the lights apart yet?

Looks pretty good on the sse. I always hated the orange/yellow turnsignals. Did you actually have to take apart your light? I just painted the outside with stain glass paint on mine.

Yeah I took them apart and used red film. Worked better than I thought it would

Is that the cover for them (black object) in the 2nd picture?

Did he tint that?
If so, are you using stock blubs or brighter ones to shine thru the tint?

Tinted just like mine, all but the reverse lenses. Brighter bulbs aren't necessary. They look dark, but still produce plenty of light. Neither of us has received so much as a warning for them.

Ahhh, those pics bring back memories....recent memories, but memories nonetheless. Now people can see how I made the orange red. Thanks for the pics.
