yeah, but the underhood light will only work on cars that have them when the lights are on anyways! kinda annoying to have to have your parking lights on just to have a dim light under the hood.

Pat'* underhood light will work without the car lights being on though (IIRC).

I do like the shroud and agree Pontiac did leave things unfinished under the 2000+ hood. I never liked that big space either. Many non-GM cars (and some newer GM cars, like Caddy'*) have plastic shrouding under the engine bays to cover things and make it look cleaner. They definitely should have thought of that here. So props to the idea Pat.

Right, what I meant to say is Pontiac/GM didn't include a light from the factory. But ya know, now that I think about it, maybe all the plastic isn't such a good idea anyways. My sister has a TL, and this is what her engine bay looks like:



All that extra cladding sure does get in the way of do-it-yourself maint. Although I stick with my original statment, the Ram Air facia/cladding does fit in quite nice...sure beats fabricating your own.

I like it as well and I have been on the lookout for the same under the hood lamp since NEBF 07.

acutally the Ram Air intake and box setup on a GA is quite impressive....yes i know the speeds that you need to be at to be functional and all the other hoopla associated with TRUE ram air

as for the RAM AIR i didnt get the piece soley for the fact that it says Ram Air, as many think.....i got it for the fact that the Regular Grand Am'* Dont have a piece that FITS as well as this one does....it is what it is....i guess

i believe that 99+ GA'* had the option....

What about the regular GA shroud won't work? The more raised section with the writing on it?
