I hold the keys to Purgatory here, itz a very bad place with 327 souls in it that couldn't behave or give members mutual respect. And that has always gone double for females. Did you get the back seat out? It can be trying in a Buick. I used to get in, turn around and get my knees against the lower part of the seat and push in while lifting up. There are two catches. Loops that catch into hooks so to speak. As the cars has people in the back it seems the loops bend out towards the front making it all the harder.

lol nice, nah i didnt get the seat out, I just put expandable foam up in there ill have to check and see if there are any leaks. I need to sand down that expanding foam in my wheel well yet and do some undercoating, then put sealant in the trunk over that side of the foam. the weather has been annoying, along with doing overtime and now im getting sick so life is crazy right now... lol

sseidriver thanks for the offer but I need to find out whats going on around that time, like I said my life is all a mess lol

hmm i may copy your idea for this thread, if ya dont mind. as for the rear seat i dont understand why they're so difficult in these cars. ive had the back seat out in all 3 cars in my sig and in all 3 when i pulled the seat out the plastic holes they pop into came out of the body and i had to pop them back in before the seat lol. but all you do to remove them is yank up on the front most part. it may be worth it to do just because water smells bad after awhile and pools down there lol.

yea its no problem, i kinda like having a project thread so i dont need to keep making more for every thing i do..i have to do an oil change this weekend maybe ill try getting that seat out again.. if its dry though in that area im probably just going to leave it.

good luck getting that all sealed up

Buick96 03-02-2011 12:57 AM

thanks man :)

well its still leaking so im going to have to go all out and load that hole full of sealant as well. also need to get under there and do an oil change some time soon.. was going to do it sunday but i had some fun saturday night and did NOT feel like laying under a car on the cold floor so im putting it off until next weekend. Its suppose to get a little nicer so hopefully i can do the rest of my cleaning as well. as far as the alternator issue, im thinking I need a higher amp battery. the one I have now is 675 cca, which is pretty good and its still relatively new (about 2-3 years) but im thinking im probably going to start there and see where that gets me. I dont really think this is an alternator issue anymore but I could be wrong.

If you can pick up a sheet of sheet metal, and then form it to fit. Pop rivet it in place, fill in behind it with foam, and then use a good rubberized bed liner to seal it all up, that should work.

Buick96 03-08-2011 01:32 AM

i would do that if i had the necesary equipment, basically the hole outside in the wheelwell looks like someone took a chainsaw and poked the tip in there its like shredded.. such a pain in the ass i need a new car.. im probably going to part this out if/when i ever get a new vehice...

See, all the more reason to make the trip to the meet. I'm sure one or ten people would volunteer to help, or do. You just need the stuff to do it.
