Overdue Repair Finally Done! (10 pics)
Ok, I get it....... it'* the stock type. I don't think I have any of those since I alway like to change them if I ever have them off. I normally use a pair of Vise Grips in the locking position to remove them.

*Runs to lock garage...*
That'* how my battery holder looks now. Also, the coolant tank'* screw broke off of the strut (thing), so it just kind of sits there. Maybe I should do some repairs as well. Though I've been thinking about it, your awesome work has truly inspired me. Thanks.

Bill, I have yet to get the hose clamp tool, though it is on my long list of things to get.
Frank, I don't have time to visit garage sales, but my wife saw this one on her way to work on a Saturday morning and knew that I had been wanting one for a long time. I only had $100 cash, which worked out well, since the guy was asking $200 for it. It'* got all ball-bearing drawers, etc., and stands 6' tall. A similar one new, would have cost me over $500. I know because I had been window shopping for quite a while, lol.
Why Stan? You have one I can buy from you? Do ya huh?
I believe that all '92-99 use the same battery tray, or at least that'* what the info I have tells me.
And I prefer to call it "borrowing with no intenet to return". And...It'* too late, I already visited your garage...
Scott, The red top Optimas down here were $189 plus tax, I just can't justify that (being a certified cheapskate and all). This job gave me plenty of opportunity for the consumption of fermented hops and malt type products, since there are so many drying times involved.
The Ospho has to dry for at least overnight, longer is better. The undercoat should dry for 24 hours or more. Though I was running out of time by then, so that didn't happen in this case. The primer dries quickly, not even a beer'* worth, but the paint took longer, since it had all that other crap under it.
radomirthegreat, don't wait any longer, that battery acid is insiduous stuff. Much more time, and mine would have started to eat into the fender wheel well.

Would have been nice if you had more pics of the process.
