Default Old busted hotness (new tails)

Old and busted:

New Hotness:

The left outer lens is brand new, and the entire right outer is from a junkyard. Anybody got good inners?

Thanks..i'll get in touch about the inners. I forgot to mention that when i took the LH side apart to put the new lens on, some of the tar sealant got messed up, so i used some bin caulking I had sitting around. It worked great and was just as tacky as the tar, but when i got it all put together, the gray caulk showed Its not too noticeable, and i wont' take it back apart unless someone else notices it besides me.

This is the stuff

Those look damn nice. Might be time to be proactive about preventing future delam. I'd be tempted to use clear RTV sealant around the outer lens cover on all the pieces.

im not sure how adding anything to the outside of the light will stop the delame, from what i have seen is that the delame is from the two layers of plastic separating due to temp change or being hit.

I have two perfect outers, but my inners have very slight delam on them. Nice tails!

I kind of agree. The delam on both my outters started on the inside, not at the edge. But sealant can't hurt, especially on the side i took apart.

water can enter between the plastic parts of the lens

I've found that the corner of the trunk can tap that point on the outer lamp when you shut it. And that point is where a very high percent of outers start delaming. I have mine adjusted low enough so the that corner will not hit it.
