Default A new Recruit

Well, Jim W has recruited yet another member to the Aurora! I purchased today a 2001 V6 model for $13,000. It has 38,000 miles on it too with a 2 year extended warranty!
Significant options:
Stability Control (basically stabilitrak)
Traction Control
Dual heated Seats
Heated mirrors
'premium sound'
Rain-Sensing automatic windsheild wipers
Sunroof
On Star
Sport Suspension.

Anyway, onto the pictures.. Sorry about the low quality of some of them. the camera started doing funky things once it got cold.

yep. it has those rear fog lights so people can see you more easily in heavy fog. The V6 can run regular gas and gets good gas mileage, one of the reasons I decided to get this instead of another supercharged car. the available power was really nice to have but I hardly used it. I hope I don't regret the purchase just because I have a weaker engine now. It is however almost the same as a non supercharged Bonneville. The 3.5 has 215 horsepower @6000 RPM and 230 FT-LBS of torque @4,000 RPM. The Aurora has a slight edge on my brother'* Bonneville in passing power. His is a 2000 SLE. I'm sure I can get used to it though but the sheer acceleration the 3800 provided will be missed.

I'll sure as hell miss that Riviera. I'd still hit the Aurora though

That'* very nice! I love the color.

Those 3.5s are very quick. I'm not sure what the torque difference is from the L36, but when I test drove an Intrigue before we bought the Bonnie I was pleasantly surprised! I heard that the 3.5s don't have significant longevity.

What'd you do with the Riv?

the Riviera will be going up for sale soon. It'* sitting in the garage right now though. I just need to de-mod it and return it to factory to sell. I really don't want to sell it though.
