Thanks for the comments. We where on vacation in Asheville, NC This past week and we traveled from Highlands - Boone. The picture in my Signature is from Mt Mitchell and the one 89BonnieSE89 likes is from the Blowing Rock area.

I was only doing about 60-65 mph in a 35 mph zone on the viaduct. I stayed in second gear. If you notice right as I pass the camera there is a flash of light ahead of me at the curve, that was a minivan that prevented me from going any faster and the reason I hit the brakes at the end.

Ahh, I miss the mountains...and that'* quite the complimentary foreground, too.
