Default New to me 2005 GXP

I just wanted to post a pic of my new to me 2005 GXP.

Several months ago, I realized I was driving my 2008 Dodge 3/4 ton truck back and forth to work and not really using it for anything other than commuting. I have another four wheel drive, and a nice, low-in-height tilt trailer that is soo much easier to get stuff into than the high bed of the truck. Add in the super-low gas mileage and huge truck payment, and I started looking for a nice, used car to take its place.

I stumbled acoss a 2004 GXP on Ebay that was in Texas, 1400 miles away (I am in Montana) and almost bought it, but did not really have the time to take off from work. Luckily, there was a 2005 about 700 miles away in Minot, ND. Still a long way away, but with a train station nearby that was convenient to me-so off I went.

The paint was in rough shape swirl wise, and there was lots of ND dirt in the cracks and crevices, but I think it cleaned up nicely. I was able to get rid of 99% of the swirls.

How many miles are on the clock?

You're in trouble when GXPvenom see this. He loves his GXP and gets all gitty whenever a new GXP joins.

Alittle over 54000, so pretty low for its age. It has a GM certified warranty, which is another reason I purchased it.

Thanks for the compliment on the shop. I worked hard on those damn stripes. I am a steelers fan despite their horrible losing streak as of late, hence the gold/black.

54k is low, and alot of Northstar goodness left. I have 47k on mine, but I have a daily driver and a truck as well. GM Certified Warranty is a great thing for a car with an expensive drive train. Trunk leaks, premature brake/rotor wear, and clunking IM shafts lead the watch for list. That and moonroof wind deflectors and rear seat access door latches that like to self destruct. A few front hubs as well. Some engines have had water/oil lines issues. But they are a minority. I think they were caused by "factory fitment issues"
