Bummer the CCR don't work. I just got a PM from Vig that his rear struts have been replaced with something generic. :(

That'* ok, CCR sucks, and even when it works, my SSEi still kills it in handling, despite both cars having FE2.

BTW, Don and I have been discussing the steering rate differences between my SLE and SSEi. Don figured out that even though I got the T2V steering (not showin in Vig'* RPO'*), It'* still not possible to get the variable rate rack like the SSEi has in an SLE. So my steering is somewhere between an SE and SSEi.

ELC is Electric (I think) Leveling Control, it'* a system that uses an air pump to lower and raise the back of your car to level itself out.

Well, got bored, and took a look at RPO sticker when I saw this thread. Mine'* a 97 SLE also, I always assumed it was, never bothered to check. I don't have a picture of the sticker, can't find the camera. but alot of the options are similar. Hurray!

How do you know if you have ELC besides the RPO code? Is that the "compressor" in the trunk (with the on/off switch)?

the compressor is behind the rear passenger side tire....the on off switch is the inflator
