Yes! Let'* shoot for this Saturday and I'll keep and eye on the weather for any changes..... the forcast does look good at the moment.
I'll buy more beer since the cooler'* about empty......
BTW..... my Son (14 years old) checked the car out yesterday morning and said that it'* officially "off the hook". For the first time, he'* actually accepted the fact that the Bonnie will be a cool enough car for him to drive when I give it to him in a year and a half. He does want to paint it though.... heh heh.
Once it'* his, then I can find me a SSEi to buy somewhere....... cant wait!!!
Thanks again Pat for all of your hard work..... I really do appreciate it.

sounds good sir!
10 o'clock works and yes, he'll want to see your car. I've told him that you Bonnie is about as cool as you can get one, so he'* eager to see it.
Oh... BTW.... my squeek has magically reappeared. Go figure! I may swap out the alternator on Thrusday assuming the weather cooperates.
And I forgot to tell you..... my first test dive after the Rams got thrashed by the Panthers on Sunday was eventfull..... going down a back road, the car cuts off. Ground buss connector on the driver'* side again.
2 minutes later after a removal and quick clean I was back rolling.
I guess I really need to fix/clean that thing instead of monkeying around with it.
I'll shoot you an email on Friday to make sure everything'* still a go......

I'm already reaching for the console shifter even though it hasnt been installed yet.
Once we get that and the dash in..... it will indeed be a very different vehicle in my mind. What'* cool about it is that it looks almost the same from the outside unless you know what to look for. Open the doors and people are like "WHOA!!".

I was really wanting to wait for Pat to post the results of this weekend'* work, but I'm about to head off to bed so I'll give a mini-update-
We started pulling dashboards yesterday...... got both of them out along with removing the steering columns. Pat ended up loading the SSE'* dash into the back seat of his car to take home for HUD and console shifter wiring.
He shows up at the house today with dash in hand, pre wired and ready to go! The major battle of the day was expected to be the shifter cables...... well that ended up being all of a 15 minute ordeal. Slam Dunk..... no issues other than a final adjustment once we hooked it up.
We did have a 30 minute battle with the steering column..... but we ended up winning.
The final results of this weekend-
Trunk liner install
Dash swap with HUD
CD player
Steering column swap with stereo controls
Console shifter install and completion of center console mounting
VAT module swap(I think that'* what it'* called) to allow new ignition key for the SSE to start the car
Electric antenna install(I'll let Pat give you guys the 411 on this.... LOL).
I've got some pics that I'll post tomorrow. Pat took a TON of shots also..... I'm sure he'll post them along with a monster/detailed write up.
A big BIG thanks to both Pat and Bill(enjoy the cluster!!) for all of their help in this. I now have a SSE/SE that'* heading to the detailer'* tomorrow for a uber cleaning..... it deserves it.

ok here it goes....
As Troy has said we accomplished
Trunk lid insulator from SSE
Dash swap with HUD
2 band CD player
Steering column swap with a leather steering wheel and steering wheel controlls
column to console shifter
swapped the Vats module so the new column and the ignition cylinder would agree with the new resistance
fixed mast to a new Power antenna
here are some of the pics
here is how the car was left last weekend

so we got both dashes removed and i took the SSE dash and the SE harness and wired them together
SSE dash with the harness

SE harness
Both harness on the floor the HUD

and the HUD wired up

here is the SSE harness on the counter,
I had to wire in the following to the SE harness that never had it...............
the Gear shifter select lights
the Park/Brake interlock
the rear cig lighter circut
here is the above wired in and taped up

and the HUD with the New SSE harness

So after that its time to battle the shifter cables
YUP we pulled the entire cable out of the car thru the tiny *** grommet

here is the difference between the Column shifter and the console cable

so after putting in the shifter cable and the column with the new steering wheel controlls plus the Vats module.....and we buttoned everything up
the results

Here is the trunk lid insulator that we had from the parts car

and the power antenna....the story on this one is that the car was pre wired for the power antenna....i plugged in the connector and poof the antenna worked....i thought the antenna was bent sightly that is why i took it out of my car....with a little "adjustment"....it works great now
