Default My winter ride.....

.......at least until I get new brakes on my 1994 SLE (needs both front pads and rear shoes), or my 1999 SSEi back from the tranny shop.
Anyhow, here'* my current ride.
Here is my current ride, a 1989 Buick Lesabre Limited with a Cabriolet roof and Continental Kit and ONLY 69,000 miles. I personally don't like having to drive it. It isn't too bad of a car overall other than it only gets 14 mpg on the freeway with the cruise set at 73mph. I have put on a new ignition, new coil pack (Magnavox), new plugs, new plug wires, Fram air filter, PCV valve, fuel filter, 02 sensor and doing these brought the gas mileage up from 10-11 mpg all the way up to 14 mpg on the freeway, and in town is an even worse nightmare -only 7-8 mpg.

And here is the 1989 Buick Lesabre Limited with 240,000 miles that I drove last winter. It was a hell of alot better (and more reliable car) than the Lesabre I am driving now. It even has remote start which is a schaweet feature (wish I had this on either of my Bonneville'* or the white Lesabre).
Oh, and BTW, this Lesabre on a bad day gets 27-28 mpg, and on a good day 33-34 mpg(with premium 93 Octane fuel and a full tune-up).

why does it get such shitty economy? My 2500 8.1L gets U.*.= 10mpg in town, and 14mpg on the highway.

My guess is either a engine computer or something with the fuel system -i.e. fuel injectors, pressure regulator, fuel pump (which is actually quite noisy).

Actually it is just a dummy. Fills up space and means more space needed for parallel parking.
One thing I can assure you though, is if you happen to drive down the main cruising strip in a larger town you will have alot of girls asking for a ride "cause that wheelie thingy makes me sooo wet!" <-- My favorite line yet.
I was just passing through town on the way to the club and all the pimps gave nods of approval, the losers grinned, the cops don't even see the car (aka Grandma) and the girls -well I gave you a good idea of what they think. Now all I need for it are tinted windows, player 100 spoke rims, air bags, and a system -BLING BLING!!
