Unlike my other car, I just CANT WAIT to start ripping this one apart, I'm going to rip the entire top end apart one of these days to change the LIM gaskets and probably do a SC coupler as well. It needs a lot of work, if BC was not here, I'd be screwed. All the problems with it are common, I'm hoping the trans will last a while until I get all my medical bills and other stuff paid off.
Keep in mind guys, the car will need a trans and $2000 on top of that invested to fix the problems and for the INTENSE stage 3 kit. I'll probably fix the transmission early before I do the mods but it depends.
It seriously looks like it has around 90,000 miles, never seen snow, or salt.
I figure it this way, I can buy a SSEi at the normal price...$9000 or so with 100,000 miles and then have the possiblity of the windows failing, trans failing, LIM gaskets failing, etc or I can buy one with the problems already and FIX THEM RIGHT since the club is here. either way I could not justify buying a mint shape SSEi when this one the goal is to go FAST and I dont care about cosmetics too much. It might have been a dumb decision but then again, I guess if I get sick of it I know a lot of people that even here at work that want the car lol.
the car does have its uglys though, lots of scratches show up bad (scatch-x tomorrow..its supposed to be above freezing)....and the door clading is falling off on the passenger rear, the mirrors are faded, the paint is not in the best of shape either, but hey the thing has 153,700 so am I really going to complain? dont think so.
I'm counting down the minutes till I get off work to drive it around a bit, I've only put 6 miles on it now.
