Default my peel and seal (dynamat alternative) install (56k no)

i used 2 rolls of 12" x 33.5ft of peel and seal i bought from menards on sale for $24.99

want the price of dynamat?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...701762595&rd=1

thats $100 for 36sq ft, thats $2.77 per sq ft

i used 67 sq ft and paid $50, thats $.74 per sq ft

i didnt get my doors done, becase i ran out, you can see where it stopped rigth at the back seat. i would say 3 rolls will do an entire car in 1 layer. i plan on getting 1 more roll and doing the doors, back seat, and the trunks 2nd layer with leftovers

so far it i cant tell if its gonna help at all. the trunk is a lot heavier and shuts with a deeper tone. i had music running from another car while i installed it, and when i sat in the trunk i could get a more defined bass tone rather than just standing in the open.

i expected it to get really hot to the touch since its tar in the hot sun, but its acting more like insulation. while sitting in the trunk installed it, the aluminum was almost cold to the touch, even with the sun on it.

the smell is noticable. tar of course. its not terrible, but i havent ever worked with dynamat to tell you if its the same way.

so far my rating on this product: 9/10

Nice... my friend tried using the non-dynamatt version and his did one of two things when he treid to put it up:
1- Melted
2- Didn't stick

So it'* good that yours didn't do either of the two...

Looks good, lots of work involved. Hopefully I'll get my front seats pulled and do the floor like that once my work slows down, want to do the headliner too.

Dynamat dosen't smell at all BTW.

Let us know how much better things sound, you should be able to tell by just driving around, the front doors are important

Nice job and good write up.

Keep us updated with the sound detail and if the odor goes away?
