My new Black Beauty
I didn't get a chance to take pics after washing her Saturday, and then we got some rain yesterday, so she'* a bit dirty. And I need to go to town with some polish to clean up all the swirlies, but here are a few early shots of my new ride.
And while I'm at it, here is what she is replacing. It has been a good car, but I was ready for a new one.
And here is our toy...

Sure, you can add it to your catalog. I'll hopefully get some better pictures later.
I'm loving the car so far. The only thing is that the area above the driver'* door (brownish looking) bugs me, and I messed up the trim with polish. It has a lot of pretty bad swirls all over, so it'll need some polishing. Not sure if I want to try and get a buffer though. I think I'll do some research on finding a good polish to use by hand. I was kind of wanting an SSEI, but they are pretty hard to find right now around here, and I decided against it because of the premium fuel and lower gas mileage. But surprisingly this car can go pretty well itself. My Cutlass is only 160HP/185lb-ft so anything is better. It'* funny, originally I was set on a 300M or a Lincoln LS. The Bonneville was in the back of my mind, but I really wanted something more rare. The Jaguar parts in the LS finally scared me off, so I was set on the 300M. Then I saw a silver Aurora that really caught my eye, so I was going back and forth. Then I found out about two big repair bills in the 300M, and got gunshy. I was at this local dealer driving through, and remembered they had an SLE. I decided to look at it, and really liked it. I think black Bonnevilles are rare around here, so seeing it in person did it. That and it'* my wifes favorite of all, except the Autumn Red LS was right up there. The interior isn't as nice as the the other three, but as long as it'* comfortable to drive, I'm more about how it looks outside anyway. I had a good laugh Saturday after I bought it. We went to a church picnic and took the Bonny. When we walked up, one of my relatives there saw it and asked if we sold the house to get the car. I knew then I had the right car. And I didn't have to sell the house. In fact, it was our first cash car buy which felt great.

Thanks for all the compliments!!
I have some Turtlewax Super Sudsing soap. I like it. Seems like other stuff I've used doesn't stay soapy long. But I've only used a few kinds.
Yes, I will probably sell the Cutlass. The plan is to sell our Mountaineer and get a minivan. I can't believe the wife is willing to do it! If we get a decent price (a couple dealers I asked when looking for my car would only give us just over half what it'* worth) we'll sell it. Then I'll trade in or sell the Cutlass if we get a minivan. Otherwise if we don't sell the truck, I'll just sell the car.
looks good, what do you use to wash her?
Interested in selling the '96 Cutlass?

Looks REALLY sharp....nothing like black paint that well taken care of.
The only thing I can add.....consider clearing those corners. It will make a bad*** looking car that much better. (With the black insert in the lens, I think it would really nice)
It'* pretty easy, takes about a hour, after you read the post on how to do it.
