I thought the DOD was mainly used on the trucks.

Huh? Are you thinking Mustang? It has a 5.3L DOD engine.

Thats right it was Ford.

I was thinking of the old body style of the SS carlo. It had a 302 5.0 in it if im not mistaken or was it the 305.....its been a while since I seen one

I love how they brought back the fender accents on the Monte'*. That was always my favorite part, even on the 70'* models.

305 (which is also a 5.0L) was available and 350 (5.7L) in the SS. The last time Chevy made a 302 was in the '69 Z28s.
