Buckets in a LeSabre are rare. For any year.
I've been keeping an eye out for Bonneville buckets, but nothing close by in any of the yards or from salvage dealers. The problem is with the design. It has to have the seat mounted belts, and side seat airbags. That really limits where I can get suitable alternatives.

And I plan on taking the running boards off, actually, Dakota. I do want to get some better grab handles for the front doors though. Ones that mount on the inside on the a-pillar. The passenger side isn't too bad, with the handle coming off the dash, but theres nothing on the driver side to grab except the wheel.

I also want to do a small lift, just enough to even out the rake a little for now. Plus a bull bar with some better lighting.
I've already added vent visors to it. I have to redo the rear doors, they were really tough to mount straight, but give the vent windows clearance to open out.

Since Compnine is back up, I ran the stats on this truck, and it actually came back as a 1 of 2 rarity. (Not that it matters that much, but still...)
And according to Compnine, she was born 6-29-00. Amazing shape for being on the road for almost 12 years!

Also its cool that it has both the Z71 off road pack, and the Z82 HD trailering pack. Surprised it only has a 105amp alternator though. That'* something I'd like to change out if possible. Especially once I upgrade the system, and add lights to it down the road.

Anyone know the best way to lift an IFS up a couple inches? I've seen torsion bar relocator brackets for the front, that claim a 2" lift. It just looks weird to me to have the back end jacked up like that, and not even out in the front. I'd rather it sit level. I don't plan on hauling any heavy trailers for awhile yet.

ive read this will level it with a slight crank, alignment needed and if you plan to haul or tow much remember the nbs springs are kinda soft at the top and your headlights are going to be pointing way up.

He'* got the Z71 suspension, he'll be able to tow just fine without pointing the headlights up. The only thing better is the Z85 like I have with a level to fit 33s!

i didnt realize it had different springs, i thought it was just the shocks. it will still squat anyway just be able to haul or tow more before it becomes a problem. just one quad levels out any nbs ive seen, if they were level empty they would really be squatting. same with my old mans camper

Yeah, mines not bad at all. It'* leveled and has 33s on the stock 17s. I've towed a full uhaul trailer with a full bed and she doesn't squat at all. Mine is the Z85 though which is the HD trailering suspension. I think that'* why.

uhaul is like a couple hundred pounds tongue weight. thats nothing. put your bike in there and see what it looks like.

some real tongue weight the camper is 600lbs on the tongue and in the back is two full coolers grill and wood.

4-500 on the tongue with the smaller quad on the back.


short story long, my point is if you actually haul bigger stuff like i do you cant level it.

This doesn't make any sense. The only way it can be is if it'* Z85 with a Z71 sticker on it. This is how mine is. The giveaway is the fact I don't have fender flares.
A full 6x12 has a max tongue weight of 500, and mine was close. I've also hauled the stock car with no squat. The only thing that made it do anything was my parents travel trailer. Maybe squatted 2 or 3 inches though.
