Oh yeah, and for comparison [these are before I started work on the car, don't hurt me because she was dirty at the time] here are some pics of the before.

Dude, that is CLEAN! Anyways, my engine bay is in the process of being cleaned. Not to mention, she looks really good without the airbox, coolant overflow bottle, washer fluid bottle, compressor, etc removed looks great. You guys agree?

I think it looks empty without the rest of it...like an old Mustang with an I6...can see right down to the ground...

That engine bay is a natural for a straight shot cone CAI system.
Guaranteed 10. hp gain......even with your NA engine.
I'll get some arguments on that recommendation but I've done it before on NA engines and have always felt a gain along with better fuel mileage.

guy, the engine cover is off, because i'm tearing the engine apart. Anyone remember I was going to rip off the intake and heads to port them, and replace some gaskets to fix my oil leak? There is a method to my madness.. at least this time.
Merlin 91/97: that is a BEAUTIFUL paintjob on the intake, 3800 cover, and valve covers! Did you use spray paint for that? If so, which tape did you use to mask off the red stripes?
Silverbullet: I'm going after the rice pipe idea, the pipe should come right to the hole where I have some free flowing air comming through, which will of course get a drier duct to get even more direct air. And the rice pipe will yield just as good of an increase.. especially because my air filter is the colour of crap, and probably flows even worse.
