Default My Bonne'* 0-70 *NEW VID*

Not quick, but faster than a 2.2 4 banger that I'm used to!

I kept going past 70, the first time I've gotten it up there since I've had it, but I chopped that part off the vid...

Look for my whorage in the "Your Ride" Section

Sounds good...but seems quite slow. 10 seconds is not quite normal for an L36. What gear ratio do you have and when is the last time you did a full tuneup?

Yeah she seems a little sluggish. Not sure on the gear ratio, or when the last tune-up was done. That'* in store for next week or so...I just got the car a week ago yesterday, so I'm still workin on all of that...

Wow! Only a week ago? Well you've certainly been busy! And you already know the drill of a video, whorage and such! Looks outstanding, but we gotta track down why its so slow. My 98 with the basic gear ratio with tons of issues was faster than that, and squealed the tires too.

Wow, I def. don't have enough low-end to be squealin my rubbers. I'm gonna get in there either next week or the week after and do plugs and wires (which, btw, i'm going with TR55 plugs, what wires should i use?...my friend said go with nothing but AC Delco...hrm) ...and I'd like to replace the coil packs too, preferrably with performance coils.

Another thing that'll help is modding my CAI...if you go look at my last whorage I just posted an engine pic, you can see that the cold air intake is actually a warm engine air intake...which is why in my signature it says a "cold air" intake haha. I need to re-route it and build a heat-shield for sure!

My next oil change, I'll probably start running full-syn.

Other than that, and possibly cleaning my TB, I dunno why she'* so sluggish. I mean, it feels great to me, coming from a Cavalier, but it could def. be faster!

definitely use those TR55s, and for wires, the following are recommended...

Napa Belden
Autolite Professional
AC Delco

Oil:
Mobil 1
Pennzoil Platinum

Oil Filters:
Purolator PureONE
AC Delco

You don't need to upgrade your coils, it truly isn't necessary. Just be sure to tune everything up and I don't think you'll have any problem significantly lowering that number.

tune up list should be:

recommended synthetic oil, recommended filter
pcv valve
actual COLD air intake
recommended plugs, recommended wires
seafoam
o2 sensor
clean MAF sensor
check exhaust backpressure
if you havent already, remove the dexcool from your cooling system!!!

after all that is done, and you still want to go faster, then start modifying, Intensify your car.

FWI, thermostat, rockers, etc.

The sub'* aren't helping but, this intake is definitely hurting you:

It'* way too short, and it'* pulling in nearly 200* air from the engine bay. That filter looks a little iffy as well...

Search "rice pipe" to get some ideas on getting a true COLD air intake

FWI? I'm usually good at the acronym game, but I can't crack that one...

And if you could point me to a thread that shows me how to seafoam it, that'd be cool.

The dexcool'* bad? That'* the orange stuff, right? What should I replace it with?

Thanks in advance!

FWI= Fenderwell Intake
www.intense-racing.com sells them.

Again, MUCH cooler, denser air

Dexcool can be replaced (and even topped off) with the Prestone Orange. If you switch to the green stuff though, make sure you get EVERYTHING out. You'll end up with brown sludge if the Dexcool mixes with regular green antifreeze.
