Went up to Everett this morning to meet up with Busmaster007 (Trevor). Went to a local indoor shooting range and tested out a part of his impressive collection of firearms. Unfortunatly, I didn't bring my rifle or shotgun.... Let me tell you, his 2 daughters could shoot better than me!!!! And they are grade school age!!!! Then we went and got a bite to eat and parted ways. I have not met up one person on this club that I didn't get along with. This club is TRUELY unique!

hmm...after seeing my car with the centercaps off i kinda liked it...and now seeing Trevor'* w/o the caps...i might go around w/o them for a while...one is scratched up anyway

Hey, we had a GREAT time!

John got to try out a couple of my .44 Magnums; a custom finished Ruger SuperRedhawk and my Desert Eagle. He noticed that the DE44 was much smoother than the revolver --- same ammo but different kind of recoil impulse.
We got the .22'* out next and my youngest daughter drilled the bullseye with her first shot! Cool.
My oldest daughter tried the Ruger 10/22 for her first time shooting an 'adult' sized rifle. She liked the part where all you have to do is keep pulling the trigger --- not load one/shoot one...

For those that are interested, EVERY time my daughters go to the range with me, they are required to state the Four Rules of Gun Safety before they can even pick up their little .22 rifles.
I bought each of them a single-shot Marlin .22 rifle for their 7th birthdays.
It pays off to have them understand the safety aspect first, and the natural curiosity is satiated so they'll know what to do if they are around firearms or someone that isn't familiar with them.
I'm proud of them both for being safe and good shooters.

It was a lot of fun at the range, but we needed to go out and do Bonneville Forum stuff, too.
I was impressed with John'* SSE. Nice ride, and as he said, it was my first time behind the wheel of a supercharged model.
It was strangely familiar, but more exciting, kind of like your girlfriend after a boob job!
"Hey, this feels good --- no --- BETTER!"
The exhaust note was excellent and it was interesting that his car was a 'family' car, bought by his Grampa.
Also, the mileage was about double mine, so I'm encouraged about maintaining the car and seeing how many miles I can get out of it.
I would like to have a supercharged Bonneville someday.

All in all, a lot of fun today.
We'll have to do this again sometime soon, John.

About the centercaps:

Before I bought the ARE Estrella wheels for the car, I had my Goodyear Eagle NASCAR tires on those green wheels.
I figured with the "NASCAR" theme goin' on, it'd look better without the caps and I'd use chrome lug nuts to brighten things up.
It looked OK, but those 12-slot wheels are really a PITA to clean...so I bought studded snow tires for those wheels and put the Goodyears on the ARE'*.

No sense in washing the car now. Maybe later this week. It'* too frustrating to have a clean car in the driveway and then hit the freeway at 0-Dark-Hundred just to have some Frito'* truck recycle the wet road dirt onto the car.
By the time I've driven the 16 miles to work, it looks like I didn't wash the car! So, I don't! :P

Trevor, I couldnt agree with you more on Gun safety and teaching your daughters about it.


When I lived in NH I had two firearms.

1) *&W .22
2) Reuger 9mm


I took my son shooting with me at the age of 6 and taught him about gun safety. People thought I was nuts, and didnt understand my reasoning, but if he ever got into my locked cabinet, at least he would know how to properly handle a firearm without pointing it at anyone and checking to see if it was loaded first.

I no longer own any fiearms, but im hoping to change that some day.

Got up at 0800 and washed the car today. Couldn't stand it any longer!

Domestic Performance was like a god to us.
IIRC, you had Goodyear Nascar yellow letter tires
A certain 1992/93 SSE was modded beyond the imagination (it just a figment of someones)
Burgundy Boat made us laugh every 1/2 hr with his tall tales.


And I remember your like of guns.

Wish I could have made it. Haven't had the toys to the range in over a year. I wasn't willing to gamble on the trip with the SLE'* trans.
