well i paint cars for a living and i can tell you 100% that those are the same colour... GM has used only ONE black since 1984 both those cars are the colour its just one is cleaner then the other if anything

Paint fades through the years too, correct?

Yes paint will fade slightly, however the base coat will not change colour unless the clearcoat gets worn out. I was simply saying that when these cars left the factory they would have been identical in colour, and if i recall Bandits car last i saw it needed a GOOD claybar and waxing! because it was even duller then mine with no wax in over a year
