now im pretty sure the following links will be "save target as"

the first one is on a warm start, the mic is about 3 feet away from the muffler on this one

harofreak just got

...back on topic-Does it actually sound like that, or is the microphone changing the sound? You almost cant hear it at idle, and it is a nice grumble at throttle. I like it if that is how it actually sounds. I know it is hard to get mics to capture the true sound.

thats pretty dang close to what it actually sounds like, you really cannot hear it at all inside the car at idle...even if you get out and go stand behind the car while its idling youre going to be hard pressed to hear it if there is any background noise at all...but as soon as you dip into the loud pedal things start lookin up ive been driving with the windows down a lot more...theres only a certain range you can hear it really well, between 2 and 3 grand you can hear it strong, after that the engine actually drowns out the exhaust note...and thats just with a gutted airbox...and my car is actually quiter now after we replaced the upper and all that....that i cannot explain. but its quieter since then....when the guy first started it up it roared to life and then started idling i was like....."what the?!" cause i couldnt even hear it...but you can hear it when you want it to be heard...and my stock one was burned out anyway....the guy pulled the stock one off and looked inside and goes "well hell there wudnt nothin in thar anyway!" and laughed and chucked it across the shop.
